PRIX NOBEL 1901 -2010

Dans cet article, je vais essayer d’évoquer le sujet du fameux prix Nobel mais d’une autre manière. Celle de certains analystes, qui posent les questions suivantes : Comment Alfred Nobel (inventeur de la Dynamite), qui a bâti sa fortune en fabriquant des armes !!Oeuvra par la suite à récompenser ceux qui participent au progrés de l'humanité,au rapprochement des peuples et à la promotion de la paix!

Ou plus encore: Que reste t-il encore de la crédibilité du prix Nobel depuis 1901? Ya t-il une dérive quelque part dans l'attribution de ce fameux prix?

Un peu d’histoire...

Le prix Nobel été remis pour la première fois en 1901, et depuis il est décerné chaque année à des personnes jugés porteurs de bénéfices à l'humanité par leur inventions, leurs découvertes, leur œuvres littéraires et aussi par leur travail en faveur de la paix. Décernés au mois d’Octobre de chaque année, ce prix de porté international est une concrétisation des derniers vœux d'Alfred Nobel.

Le testament (The Nobel will)..

À sa mort, Alfred Nobel laissa un héritage de prés de 32 millions de couronnes, et demanda dans son testament du 27 Novembre 1895,que soit créée une institution qui se chargera de récompenser chaque année des personnes qui ont rendu de grands services à l'humanité, permettant une amélioration ou un progrès considérable dans le domaine des savoirs et de la culture dans les cinq disciplines : paix , littérature, chimie, médecine et physique.(wikipedia 2010).

L'Ont t-ils tous mérité..!

Il fut un temps où il fallait montrer d'extraordinaires dons humanistes pour décrocher le prix Nobel qui représentait alors une récompense suprême. Ce qui n’est plus le cas actuellement.

Le cas de l’ancien vice président des USA, Al Gore, qui par la publication d’un livre sur le Global warming, avait été soudainement considéré aussi important pour l'humanisme contemporain que Jean-Paul II, Lech Walesa, Elie Wiesel, Mère Thérésa ou Martin Luther King.

Le malaise avait été évident chez ceux qui posaient la question : Quel était le rapport entre le changement climatique et le prix Nobel de la paix ? Et la réponse été : et bien aucun.

Le cas de l’actuel président des Etats unies,Barack Obama qui lui, a reçu un prix de la paix six mois seulement après le début de sa présidence.En contre partie de rien  !

Au-delà des sa compagne électorale autour du Change we can, les observateurs luis reprochent à cette époque, l’absence de réalisations méritant le prix Nobel.

Pour eux, le président Barak Obama na aucun achèvement politique majeur à son actif pour mériter le "Nobel prize of peace".

On peut évoquer aussi le cas de Arafat et Rabine. Ces deux derniers ont étaient récompensés pour leurs contributions ( !!) dans un processus de paix, qui na pas réussi à mettre fin à la colonisation et à la souffrance des Palestiniens jusqu'a ce jour.

Les critiques des anti-guerres, s’étendent aussi vers Henry Kissinger, secrétaire d’État du président Richard Nixon, qui reçu le prix alors qu’il avait organisé des massacres de Timorais avec l’appui du président du Timor-Oriental Suharto. De plus, il est soupçonné d’être le responsable principal du coup d’État au Chili datant du 11 septembre 1973.

La liste est encore longue, autres cas plus flagrants comme Edward Teller "inventeur de la bombe à hydrogène", Harold Hillman qui étudia "La douleur éventuellement ressentie durant l’exécution par différentes méthodes", Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee et Nawaz Sharif "pour avoir testé des bombes atomiques" etc.

Fidèlement à son origine, le prix Nobel (notamment celui de la Paix) continu à mélanger entre armes et paix ! C'est étrange mais apparemment c'est vrai.

Un peu plus sur le Nobel Prize..

Les prix Nobel sont attribués depuis 1901 dans les domaines suivants :

• Physique, décerné par l'Académie royale des sciences de Suède. link

• Chimie, décerné par l'Académie royale des sciences de Suède.

• Physiologie ou médecine, décerné par l'Institut Karolinska. link

• Littérature, décerné par l'Académie suédoise. link

• Paix, décerné par un comité nommé par le parlement norvégien

En 1968, avec l'accord de la Fondation Nobel, la Banque de Suède a institué un prix en économie, le prix de la Banque de Suède en sciences économiques en mémoire d'Alfred Nobel, communément appelé « prix Nobel d'économie » bien que n'étant pas formellement un prix Nobel, décerné par l'Académie royale des sciences de Suède.

Depuis 1968, il a été décidé de ne plus ajouter de nouvelle catégorie de prix. (Source wiki)

NOBEL PRIZE between 1901 and 2010 , Chronology and criticism..

In this article, I will try to bring up the subject of the famous Nobel Prize but in some different way. That of some analysts, who asked the following questions: How Alfred Nobel (inventor of Dynamite), who built his fortune by manufacturing weapons! Implemented later to reward those involved in the progress of humanity, reconciliation peoples and the promotion of peace!

Or even more: That there still remains the credibility of the Nobel Prize since 1901? Is there a drift somewhere in the award of this famous award?

A little bit of history ...

The Nobel Prize was awarded for the first time in 1901, and since it is awarded annually to individuals deemed to add benefits to humanity through their inventions, discoveries, their literary works and also from their efforts for peace.

The Nobel Prize is usually awarded in the month of October every year.

The Nobel Testament (..the Nobel Will) ..

At his death, Alfred Nobel left a legacy of nearly 32 million crowns, and asked in his will dated November 27, 1895, for the establishment of an institution who will annually reward individuals who have rendered great services to the humanity. Allowing an improvement or a significant advance in the field of knowledge and culture, in five disciplines: Peace, Literature, Chemistry, Medicine and Physics.

Have they all deserved the Nobel Prize..!

There was a time when he had to show extraordinary humanistic gifts to win the Nobel Prize, which represented an ultimate reward. It seams that is no longer the case.

The case of the former US vice president , Al Gore, who was suddenly seen as important to contemporary humanism of John Paul II, Lech Walesa, Elie Wiesel Mother Theresa or Martin Luther King, after the publication of a book about Global warming,.

The unease was evident among those who posed the question: What was the relationship between climate change and the Nobel Prize for peace? And the answer was: Well no!.

The case of the current US president, Barack Obama, himself, received a peace prize just six months after the start of his presidency!

Beyond his election campaign around the possible and the hope for Change, observers blame this time, the lack of accomplishments merit a Nobel Prize.

For them, President Barak Obama has no major political asset to deserve the "Nobel prize of peace."

We can also mention the case of Arafat and Rabin. Both of them were rewarded for their contributions (!) In a peace process that has not succeeded in ending the colonization and the suffering of the Palestinians until today.

Critics of some anti-war activists, also extend Henry Kissinger, Secretary of State to President Richard Nixon, who received the award as he had organized the massacres of Timorese with the support of East Timor's President Suharto. Moreover, it is suspected to be the main responsible of the coup in Chile, dated 11 September 1973.

The list goes on, other more egregious cases such as Edward Teller "inventor of the hydrogen bomb", Harold Hillman, who studied "The pain may be felt during execution by different methods", Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Nawaz Sharif for tested atomic bombs "etc..

Faithful to its origin, the Nobel Prize (in particular the Peace Prize) continuous mixing between weapons and peace! It's strange but apparently true.

A bit more about the Nobel Prize ..

The Nobel Prizes are awarded since 1901 in the following fields:

• Physics, awarded by the Royal Academy of Sciences of Sweden.

• Chemistry, awarded by the Royal Academy of Sciences of Sweden.

• Physiology or Medicine, awarded by the Karolinska Institute.

• Literature, awarded by the Swedish Academy.

• Peace, awarded by a committee appointed by the Norwegian parliament.

In 1968, with the agreement of the Nobel Foundation, the Bank of Sweden instituted a prize in economics. The price of the Bank of Sweden in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel, commonly called the "Nobel Prize of Economics" well not formally a Nobel Prize, awarded by the Royal Academy of Sciences of Sweden.
